
David Schlaifer
David Schlaifer is a serial entrepreneur and 45-year veteran executive with a proven track record in rapid-growth environments. He has achieved triple-digit revenue and earnings growth across numerous companies, from startups to multi-billion dollar enterprises, both domestic and international. He has provided visionary, strategic and operational direction for dozens of M&A transactions and has earned numerous national awards for growth, leadership, operations excellence, and quality.
David founded and led DAS Health, a US-based multi-national healthcare technology firm. Serving as President & CEO for 19 years, then as CEO & Executive Chairman as he developed the senior leadership team under him, David built and scaled the company from a mere vision to over $100-million in revenue, culminating in a successful exit to private equity in 2025. Following the exit, David launched the Schlaifer Family Foundation, a philanthropic foundation focused on health and education.
David had previous experience acquiring, running, and divesting various global companies as Executive VP for Capricorn International, with significant operations on four continents. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, he had overall group responsibility for international M&A, while also holding operating positions as COO of Hollard Insurance Company (South Africa) and CEO of LegalWise North America. Prior to that, he held positions as Product Manager at Progressive Insurance, Director of Operations/Interim CFO at Enterprise Systems, and Region Operations Manager at American Hospital Supply.
David graduated from The Ohio State University (1982) with a BS in marketing and logistics, and from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology (1988) with his Juris Doctor. He currently holds positions on various advisory and operating boards for both for-profit and non-profit enterprises. In addition, he is a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, world traveler and explorer, pickleball player, music lover and lifetime learner.
